William Wilson is the epitome of a man living the American dream. A self-taught celebrity clothing designer, William turned a fortuitous question into one of the most respected custom clothing brands in America. He was asked by a construction client, who admired his style and selection in suits, to help him put some of his outfits together. This snowballed into what is now known as William Wilson Clothing.

Within 18 months of starting William Wilson Clothing, he went from framing custom homes in Charlotte, NC to winning awards on the red carpet of the Grammy Awards. A suit designed for R&B singer Calvin Richardson to wear to the 2010 Grammy Awards was named “Best Dressed on the Red Carpet”. Since then, he has become the personal tailor for such high profile celebrities as actor/ comedians DL Hughley and Eddie Griffin, NFL stars  Chris Canty, James Anderson, and TJ Ward; NBA players Stephen Curry, Brevin Knight and Dell Curry and NASCAR drivers Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch and Kevin Conway. He is also the official clothier for the Charlotte Motor Speedway Club, and designs the winner’s jackets for the Coca-Cola 600, Bank of America 500 and Sprint All-Star Race. He also designs the champion’s jacket for the PGA Tour’s Chiquita Classic.

William is not only a successful businessman; the 8 year Navy veteran is also a noted speaker and philanthropist. He lends his expertise, experience and knowledge on a number of topics including leadership, personal and corporate branding, social media and, of course, image. In addition, he is a staunch advocate against domestic violence, and hosts the William Wilson Celebrity Invitational (also known as the Clothier Classic), an annual star-studded charity golf tournament to raise funds to fight against this social cancer.

William is a devout, but imperfect Christian that fully acknowledges he has been blessed beyond anything he could have ever imagined, and gives credit to his mother, the Navy and God for his success.
